2010 Genuine Design Scholarship Entry

Please submit your entry to the 2010 Genuine Design Competition here. To be eligible you must create a video in the form of a public service announcement (PSA) and post it on YouTube.

Step 1- Be a college student enrolled at an accredited university in the U.S. and pursuing a degree in a design-related field.

Step 2- Share your thoughts on the subject of design authenticity in the field of furniture (both residential and commercial, including lighting and textiles). You can relate it to other fields such as fashion, art, music or even automotive design, but furniture and the people who design it must be the overarching theme.

Step 3- Make a video in the form of a public service announcement (interpret this as loosely as you like). It doesn’t need to be professionally produced, but it should be sharp, thoughtful and creative. Videos should be about 4 minutes or less.

Step 4- Post your video on YouTube. IMPORTANT: You must include the keyword tags “genuine design” “genuinedesign” and “M2L” when posting your video.

Step 5- Fill out the entry form below. Copy and paste the URL of your video from YouTube.
